Tripti Mahendra

Tripti began teaching yoga and meditation in 2008 after 18 years in corporate life. Her practice, however, began at a very early age and has been a source of ongoing support for her body, heart and mind.

Her intention with her teaching is to offer her students methods to see and work with their conditioned patterns (at the root of our suffering) through mindfulness and psychological inquiry. This develops more responsiveness (instead of reactivity) when difficult events inevitably arise in our lives and allows us to have more capacity to be with what is, which can result in a feeling of grounding.

She believes her teaching is an expression of sharing her practice out loud. She has worked extensively in corporate environments, yoga studios and with incarcerated and under-resourced women recovering from addiction. She believes that everyone should have access to the teachings that have been so instrumental in Tripti’s growth and development.

She is an Insight Yoga Institute Endorsed Teacher through Sarah and Ty Powers, a Mindfulness Training Institute (Martin Aylward and Mark Coleman) certified teacher and has completed Level 1, Level 2 training and workshops on trauma and inner critic work in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychotherapeutic model. She mentors students within the Insight Yoga Institute 500 Hour Program and works with a number of other clients integrating meditation, yoga, Buddhist teachings and IFS.
